36th Annual Student Recognition and Alumni Banquet

On Friday, April 28, 2017, the University of Maryland’s Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering (CMSE), the Black Engineers Society (BES), the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and the Student Community for Outreach, Retention, and Excellence (SCORE) will host its’ 36th Annual Student Recognition and Alumni Banquet. The theme of the evening “Prism of Possibilities: Flowing Passions...Igniting Visionaries” serves to recognize the achievements of minority students and alumni, and encourages the pursuits of academic excellence. Last year over 300 students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement. Also, CMSE will present the James N. Newton and Michael L. Cherry scholarships. This is an enriching experience and wonderful opportunity to inspire aspiring young professionals.
