Student Programs and Support

CMSE staff provides personal counseling and advice; and regularly tracks the academic progress of minority students in engineering. CMSE Staff is available to assist new students with course scheduling, class preparation, personal decision-making, and long-range academic and career planning.

Programs & Support

LSAMP Undergraduate Research Program

The Undergraduate Research Program is for studentsto  conduct a scientific research project with a faculty member of the University of Maryland College of Computer, Natural and Mathematical Sciences, A. James Clark School of Engineering or College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. During this research experience, participants perform original research, prepare scientific reports, and present their research at the end of the academic year. Students will be encouraged to give oral and poster presentations at outreach initiatives and conferences.
