2018 PARENT STEM EXPO (For Parents Only)

Parents will be exposed to ways to prepare their child/children for college majors and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through workshops on:

  • How parents can be involved in their student's education
  • How parents can inspire students to pursue STEM
  • How parents can maximize student exposure to STEM
  • Pre College Programs
  • Financial Literacy and College Savings Plans
  • Pathways to STEM Majors and Careers

STEM Information Fair exhibitors include: UMD student chapters of the Black Engineers Society (BES) and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Wells Fargo, and other organizations. There will also be information about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) summer programs.

Parents of students in grades K-12 are invited to attend.
